Height - Weight - Clothes size - how are they related???

I spoke to a friend yesterday - she is the same height as me (about 5'11). She weighs nearly 14 stone, I weigh 13 stone 5 pounds. She wears size 14 trousers, I wear size 16. WHY????????? Really can't understand it at all!

maybe she has huge chest?

depends where you buy clothes too... i am size 12 in some shops, 14 or even sometimes 16 in others!
my maternity jeans from dorothy perkins are a size 10!!!!!

I read a thing in one of the slightly more reputable newspapers a few weeks ago, about sizes and the averages in each country.
To be a size 6 8 or 10, each has a half a stone weight bracket you need to fit in. For size 12 its a one and a half stone bracket. 14, 16 and above is a two stone bracket.

And they wonder why more people are larger sizes? Maths anyone?

depends where she shops too .. dorothy perkins size 14 is an M&S 16 and a Next 22 (OK I made the last one up )
