Do I take antihistamine or not? Someone advise me!!!

My body's way of dealing with hayfever is that my eyes itch for ages, then I get exhausted and fall asleep.

The only way to stop that is antihistamine and/or a bath to wash off all the pollen (shower better but I don't have one).

The problem is that the only antihistamine we have in the house atm is piriton, which sends me into hyperactivity with random heart palpitations.

DH is ill in bed, not capable of childcare (I left him with them whilst I went ot buy something for dinner and came back to him out cold, DS sobbing his heart out - DS was asleep when I left so hoped he would stay that way ).

I need to get them fed, washed and to bed.

I want to curl up in a ball and sleep and/or sob hysterically. Even my arms feel too heavy to lift.

So. Do I take the piriton and go with the side effects? Kick DH alert enough to watch children whilst I bath? Pass out?

DH is ill - it isn't a manflu thing, he has spent most of the last 24 hours throwing up.

I drink elderflower cordial in the morning. So far I have been totally drug free!

Ask your neighbour if she has anything else you can borrow until tomorrow.

hard.

Sit them on the bathroom floor with a plate of biscuits while you have a quick sloosh all over?

DS will be in the bath with me for that method - I have sunburn... will hurt

Neighbours both out

I am considering option d - beer and not caring anymore

send for pizza - thereby solving cooking while feeling crap problem - and ask them to stop at chemist and pick up some Zirtek / clarytin on the way.

(the 'throw money at it' solution - so also maybe impractical)

twas a good solution - ended with dinner ready meals i know...

now about to put them to bed for a very early nithg then will collapse into bath

beer helped with sanity!
