Wanted ... Good name for a playhouse ... Any ideas?

We're getting a 2nd hand playhouse for our garden. It's not special or grand ... just a 4'x4' baby shed really , but I think it deserves a name.

I want to call it "The shack" but my husband is a spoilsport and won't let me. Our daughter can't choose a name herself as she's only 18months and it would most likely end up being called IgglePiggle(and NO ... I won't wait for her to be old enough to name it herself! ).

So, any suggestions ...

I'd call it Terence

TheDevilWearsPenneys · 07/05/2008 13:45

My friends camper van is called Terence, and he's very lovely!

bundle · 07/05/2008 13:45

you see, it's a good omen

chillyigloo · 07/05/2008 14:02

Hmmm ... Terence the playhouse. I'm not sure it's got a great ring to it.

No offence to Terence.

I'm quite sure Terence the camper van is very lovely, but I think Terence is more of a vehicular name and my mini-shed is sadly lacking on the mobility side of things. I guess I COULD add some wheels, but that'd just be dangerous ...

Pablo the Playhouse? Pete? Peregrine Playhouse if your playhouse has delusions of grandeur. Or at the opposite end of the spectrum how about Sharon the Shack?

Mandalay

Eden, because it will be like Heaven when bubs is playing in it and is lovely and quiet...!

chillyigloo · 07/05/2008 20:53

Sharon the shack is definitely along the right lines re: grandeur.

Our little shack is about as un-grand as you can get!

Why not call it

"Affordable eco-construction studio villa"

and flog it?

WilfSell · 07/05/2008 20:58

I used to know someone who had a plaque above his shed with 'Shed Happens' on it. Not sure it's appropriate for kids though.

Higgledy Piggledy House. Or Dave.

BigBadMouse · 07/05/2008 21:14

'The Slanty Shanty'

When I was little a friend of mine had a lovely play house in her back garden and it was called 'little 13' (Her actual house was number 13). I was always very of her 'little' house as all I had was a wendy house made of plastic.
