I like being given plants. That sounds very dull, but I do quite like a nice plant.

I would suggerst a nice plant, but obviously I do not know your friends soil type which is v important.

We were at a family fun/may day affair today that had lovely plants at bobby bargain prices. Now is the season for plant sales

Do tell me to shut up if a plant is not what you were thinking about.

I would be very happy with a nice bottle of wine and nice box of chocolates, from Hotel Chocolat preferably

A Burts Bees kit is always lovely. Really fab natural ingredients. Perhaps the natural remedy kit would be good for your friend.

Hotel Chocolat do seriously good chocolate which they can deliver if you order online. I bought a friend of mine a £16.00 box, which, including delivery came to about £20.00. But it does fit through the letterbox though.

there is a web site called natural magic, they do the most amazing organic essential oil candles. They aren't cheap but go on for hours and make a whole room smell amazing. They come really nicely packaged aswell, anyone would love one

My best friend gave me a watch. It has a tiny face on a bracelet of, well, it looks like ivory but probably isn't. It looks really smart and I wear it on special occasions when I'm dressing up. I don't know how much it was but if it was a fiver from a market stall it would still be my posh watch. It makes me feel special when I put it on.

The same friend also gave me a really sweet brooch of a cat catching a mouse, in pewter.

She gives me lovely presents (I don't deserve her); another one is a silver cat which sits on my dressing table.

Another - a lovely glass vase, again on my dressing table.

I could go on! We've known each other for years and years.
