Wow I have been in the Forest of Dean for a few years now, but have recently started to look into Pregnancy & Birth Classes as that is what I've been doing for the last 16 Years but had a bit of a break.
I'm now looking to start running classes, poregnancy massage, and Doula services and its always good to network and see whats already around - this work is needed so much as our NHS services are so overstretched, impersonal and risk focussed these days - and so many women experience birth trauma because of this style of 'care' (not care)
I can not believe that there is NOTHING around - no breastfeeding support, pregnancy yoga... anything!
When I had my first baby I found that going to pregnancy yoga and educating myself was so empowering and life changing, and I wanted to share those experiences and help others to have the same.
I dont know if I'm allowed to post links here but I set up a facebook group - forest of dean pregnancy and birth support - and forest of dean homebirth support.
Give me a shout if you are interested in getting involced - in learning life skills to help you connect with your body and relaxation techniques to help you through labour and birth...
Its such an amazing time and I want everyone to have the best possoble experience they can.
