a Tomy Fashion Plates toy?

Like this one on ebay: here

I had one of these as a young girl and loved it; I spent hours playing with it.

Well, I found one for just 75p, boxed with all the bits inc the crayons and the rubbing wax in a charity shop today.

6yo DD thinks it is brilliant and has spent all evening playing with it!

It really takes me back

Anyone else remember it?

Yes , I had them...hours of fun. I also had something similar with horses, you could draw them rearing, galloping etc.

OMG yes I did and I absolutely loved it. Especially the big floral pattern plate used on the A Line skirt. I have quite often thought about this toy and wondered about it and if it was still available. Very seventies designs as I recall. Was also my all time favourite toy apart from a Sindy Travel Case that opened out to look like a little apartment. Loved that too.

Think I will ask my Mum about the fashion plates toy because she keeps everything and it may still be at home somewhere.

wierd. I had absolutely no idea what you were talking about - but the minute I saw it I remembered it. dd had something similar in fact - not a fashion thing more a general picture thing. can't remember what's happened to it.

WorriedAboutFanjo · 01/05/2008 19:11

I loved mine

sweetkitty · 01/05/2008 19:13

My big cousins had this and I always wanted one.

Fullmoonfiend · 01/05/2008 19:13

I was a deprived child. No fashion plate. No Girl's World scary head thing. No Barbie (dear mama though Barbie was common,. I was allowed Sindy)
I had action Man though!

PortAndLemon · 01/05/2008 19:13

Hulababy · 01/05/2008 19:17
