Rhinoplasty open and closed recovery?

Hi, I am booked in for a consultation for rhinoplasty however I’m really really worried about the recovery as I have an autistic toddler and although I will get help from my mum and dad they also have to work. Can anybody give me some feedback on recovery? Is closed a speedier less painful recovery then open? Just trying to weigh up my options and wondering if it is even going to be possible for me to have it done. I understand you have a blocked nose etc and have to sleep upright however I’m worried that I’m going to be in a horrendous amount of pain during recovery and unable to look after my son. I will have babysitters the first two days. Can anybody who personally knows if closed rhinoplasty will be a less painful recovery then open?
thankyou to anybody who can advise x

It’s a big surgery under GA. You will need babysitters for more than 2 days. You will feel wiped out, unable to breathe, and still be on strong painkillers usually til day 5 if it’s a big surgery. Xx
