Have a meeting next week with a work colleague and we need a coffee shop/cafe and then somewhere nice for lunch, healthy would be good, not top end prices either and child friendly as there will be a DD in tow. Neither of us know the area as we are meeting half way between our home towns... Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks all.

Good luck! I have no idea myself but I've asked for leatherhead MNetters to help me out with something before and I don't think there are any

I'm in Epsom, down the road, don't know Leatherhead too well but Caesars is a cracking American diner type place. Child friendly and they do great things with fish as well as the usual things you'd expect. We go there loads and have never had the same thing twice.

I used to live in Leatherhead many moons ago. I haven't been back for a while but I will second that Caesars is great. I think there is a starbucks now too and there used to be a place called Marthas coffee shop on the High St but I am not se what it is like or even if it is still there.

Leatherhead High St is only small and it is pedestrianised so it should be quite easy to find somewhere. There is also the Swan Centre which is a small shopping centre and there may be somewhere in there you can go. Failing that if the weather is nice and your work colleague is up for some al fresco eating you could have a picnic in the Mansion Gardens not too far from Caesars and the library which is lovely.

Let me know if you need any more info!

Is Chessington an option?

There is Chessington Garden Centre - food isn't bad and there is an aquarium for DD to explore...
