How do you dispose of old diaries ?

I've been having a major clear out and de clutter .
I've got diaries going back to 2013. They were used for writing appointments in,holiday dates, birthdays etc.
Not really any personal information in them apart from some first names if I had written when I was meeting a certain person.
Does everyone just bin them with the other rubbish or something else.

Burn them in an outdoor fire bin if you have one, or a chimnea (again if you have one)

I shred mine after a few years.

Nourishinghandcream · 08/11/2024 17:30

I tear the covers off and shred them.

Shred them. I found my teenage ones in my parents’ attic a few years ago and removed them pronto! No way I want DD reading them in years to come …!!! 😊

I would just take the covers off and put the pages in the paper recycling.
If there was anything confidential etc then shred them.

Burning them in the chiminea is a good idea.
