Help please! Leather Trainers - can you wash them in washing machine?

Ds managed to trudge through a putrefying muddy puddle. He and trainers smell foul. Child going in bath obviously but can I machine wash clarks leather trainers?

someone please help as said trainers are ponging my house out!!!!

you should be ok, though dont expect them to come out looking like new,and if they have lights,then they prob wont work after. i'd put them in a short wash at 30 degrees.

Yes you can - take the laces out, soak them in disinfectant or soapy water first, give them a scrub to get the bits out, then out them in a coolish wash (I usually do 40) with a few clothes or towels to muffle the thuds as they go round. They should be fine.
