I'm just Freecycling a lot of my baby stuff(pram, steriliser, bath, bouncer chairs etc) and I have a real pain in my heart, tears in my eyes and lump in my throat. I suppose it's the realisation that a) My Dd has grown beyond their use and b) because I have to accept that I will have no more babies.I'm so sad.

Sorry, just needed to share...

I got tearful when i took the first bag of clothes to the charity shop. I was quite shocked at my reaction because I knew that they had to go, but it's the memories attached. Go on, have a good cry, and then once you've got that out your system you'll realise you're free from all that baby crap hanging around your house reminding you of sleep deprived days. No more prams hanging around you hallway and sterilisers taking up worktop space! Lovely.

I kept a couple of babygrows / t shirts as they grew out of them and put them on their teddys.

dragonbutter is right. Think of it as a liberation. I know it's hard though. I can still be ambushed now by finding something tucked away somewhere that I'd forgotten. Just before Christmas I found a little bag of baby vests that had had actually belonged to my DD (now 9) that I hadn't found and used when my youngest was born. Not ashamed to say I had a brief weep

There are plenty of good things to come.

That would be true if she would sleep! I'm still sleep deprived - sob!
I know you are right, but I feel quite odd.

I didn't get rid of my Ds's stuff until he was 7+ and then 10 days after...I found out I was pg. Now I know this won't happen again, but should I keep them all until Dd is say...5? Only kidding! blimey, I'd be nearly 50! and I know I need the space! but hell, it's hard.
