How to clean teddy - non machine washable - sound box inside

Maybe a random ask, but my daughters favourite plushy is non machine washable as it had a sound box inside and is stitched completely in. I have unstitched the teddy to change the battery before - but now she takes this teddy to nursery. And we're all sleeping with the next supervirus as she won't be without it!!!
I've put it a bag of baking soda which did help the smells it'd picked up (👀) but stains are still there.
Any tips appreciated.
Thanks.

Can you get it dry cleaned?

Sponge bath? 🤣

how stitched in? are your sewing skills competent enough to snip it out and re-sew it in after a wash?

Sounds mad but could you try a no-rinse pet shampoo?! I use one for my cat if he comes home a bit grubby.

Unstitch, remove sound box, wash. Replace stitching with velcro- this issue is a repeating one! If you’re not confident to do that yourself you may find someone local who does sewing.
if the sound box has button batteries I would sew it into a mesh bag within the velcroed pouch. Can’t be too careful with those.
