How to change/alter mother's data on child's birth certificate?

I got my daughter registered a few weeks back. I was still tired and not thinking straight.
Since I'm foreign my middle name has a little dash above one of the letters. I completely forgot to mention this to the registrar. I only realised today when I looked at my marriage certificate and my older DDs birth certificate that both have the dash included.
I so got used to spelling my name without it but I feel it's important to have the correct spelling in the book.
I know it's possible to make changes to birth entries. Does anybody know how?

Ring the registry office. They will be able to advise you. You won't be able to do anything yourself.

BTW What do you mean by book? Is it not the birth certificate that is missing the accent?

NAB -they write it in a big book as well. Which stays with the registry office.

I never knew that. DH registered all ours on his own.
