All our holiday pictures have gone!

Just when I thought nothing else could go wrong, I was looking on the computer for our holiday pictures from Florida to email some to a friend.

We were having some problems with the computer the other week so dp wiped some stuff off and reloaded windows. I can remember saying to him, don;t forget that the florida pictures are on there.

I have just looked for them and they are gone, what is even more frustrating is that I had them backed up on my pen drive but I had to wipe them off as it was full and I needed to put some work files on there

TSAP - download picasa, which is a free photo organising tool.

Then I think if you go to the File menu and click on add folder to Picasa, a link with all of the folders on your computer will come up. Picasa will then search all of the folders on your computer for pictures and upload them for you.

If the pictures are still on your computer then Picasa will find them for you.

Have you emailed copies to people?

Or uploaded any to be printed off at a photo shop?

We are anal about photos in this house - we have an external hard drive which we back up to automatically and every month we do two sets of CD back ups and DH and I each take one to work and store them there.

Perhaps you need to think about some back ups for next time

My mum may have some.

Dp seems to think he copied the all of the documents pictures onto a disk.

I am usually so good about backing up photos as they are all backed up on disks or pen drives but as I said I needed to take them off my pen drive.
