Hi, my youngest child’s dad is in prison for 3 years after having a gun pointed to my mouth and head on a few occasions (although they never found the gun so he was charged with an imitation firearm) as well as coercive control and an abh charge. I’ve managed to be granted a 7 year restraining order however my youngest child has just been born and he isn’t put down as my child’s dad on the birth certificate. I know full well when he is out of prison next year (hes out after a year as he went guilty and has served 6 months on remand) I know he will try to get contact with my little girl and possibly take me to court. I am terrified as what to do, I’m petrified of this man! He isn’t trusted around me and I certainly wouldn’t have my daughter around him. Has anyone gone through domestic abuse and their child’s dad took them to court? Will he possibly be allowed on the birth certificate and be allowed to see my daughter? Thankyou
