Is this a bit weird? Giffgaff sims through my door

So I have received 5 seperate envelopes from giff gaff this morning, all containing a sim. Not addressed to me, but I did open one to try to figure out if it was just marketing rubbish.
Did a bit of facebook digging and the person they are addressed to appears to be one of my neighbours, ordinarily I would just take them round to her, but it's the message within the address that I'm intrigued by.
I have attached the photo so you can see what I mean, it's her name and my address that I have blanked out on each one, but the bit in-between, is it someone trying to send her a message but got the wrong address? Or is the message meant for me? Or is this some sort of weird giff gaff marketing? Has anyone ever seen anything like this before and should I take it to the neighbour?

Did you check his Facebook? Did you scroll down to last year?

Bazinga2022 · 13/08/2024 10:16

My husbands facebook? No, but then the letters are not addressed to me. Not that I have any reason to think he's cheating 🤔

I assume they've been deliberately addressed to a neighbour in the hope that you will slip them to her on the quiet, rather than sending them to the right address and the husband seeing them and disposing of them.

Bizarre way to go about it, though.

Cyclistmumgrandma · 13/08/2024 10:18

Quite possibly marketing, have they held last year's prices??

TomeTome · 13/08/2024 10:21

Weird and a bit sad.

Very bizarre way, I have ever even spoken to this neighbour. I wouldn't of known her name, it was only because I searched the name on Facebook that I know it's her from her profile picture

It doesn't mention last year's prices. Can't figure out why giffgaff would tell someone their husband is cheating

That's horrible .
Some disgruntled intern trying to be clever maybe .
I'd be tempted to bin but I'm not sure , it's your neighbours post really . I would want no part of it .

pinksavannah · 13/08/2024 10:27

Definitely not marketing

Watching with intrigue 😅

Maybe they got your neighbour's address slightly wrong and they were meant to go directly to her ?

Does she have a husband?

What a genius way to send a message 😂

Mespher · 13/08/2024 10:27

Is that address label from GiffGaff or has someone changed it and stuck another one on, surely GiffGaff wouldn't be sending messages about Facebook

It looks like the address label is from giffgaff, it's printed directly on the envelope, nothing stuck over the top

It's not giffgaff doing it , looks like there's an option for customers to send them so they could type message in address bar .

She has a male partner, whether they are married or not I have no idea

Just getting comfy in the corner here.

Do you see her much, I’d hand them over to her.

Giffgaff sims are free to send, I am not sure if there’s a way to find out who sent them though.

Tulipvase · 13/08/2024 10:58

That’s very clever, if it is meant to be a message to someone.

DeathpunchDan · 13/08/2024 11:00

You'd have thought Giff Gaff could spell 'scroll' correctly.

Don't see much of her at all, sometimes she is putting her kids in the car as I'm walking past but that's it.
Not sure if i should hand them over to her as this could potentially ruin her life if there is any truth in it. Also she would know I would of had to look her up to of even known it was her name on the envelope, not sure if she would find this weird

EatCrow · 13/08/2024 11:05

I’d definitely keep out of it. Apart from the danger of the messenger being shot, it’s a pretty mean thing to send someone,

Mairzydotes · 13/08/2024 11:07

I'd just write ' not at this address ' and stick them back in the post box for Royal Mail to return.

If someone is trying to be clever, it's failed if they've addressed it incorrectly.

sillylittlerabbit · 13/08/2024 11:15

Someone has used the address field to add the message - it's not GiffGaff doing this.

It's your neighbour's post, just pop it through her door.

I think I would do that, especially as OP didn't know who it was anyway and had to look it up

You know its her name, it's just the wrong house number. Just put them through the door.

YouveGotAFastCar · 13/08/2024 14:43

Yeah, that’s not GiffGaff. That’s someone trying to pass on a message subtly, but for free.

Put them through her door.

Branster · 13/08/2024 20:49

So it has to be someone who has access to gifgaf stationery and spare gifgaf sims.
Or would it be possible to replicate this kind of mailing?
Whoever it is, they went to a lot of trouble to get this arranged so the envelopes arrived on the same say with the entire message. Rather creative or someone with a lot of spare time on their hands. And with a malicious streak.
Quite silly to get the address wrong after all that trouble.
OP I would do nothing and throw the lot away.

Bazinga2022 · 14/08/2024 09:45

Thanks for all your replies. I will just put them in the bin, I think best not to get involved.
