I've been scouring ebay for months now. I really want one of these but I need a crappy old second hand one so it doesn't cost £300. I either get outbid or they are too far away (am in Yorkshire).

Where can I look other than ebay?

I could spend about £100.

There must be dozens of the things festering in people's garages and sheds, unloved and taking up space.

I'm starting to feel like my 2-year-old; "I want it! I want it!"

have you ever sat in one of these chairs?

they are about as comfortable as sitting in a nettle bush in springtime.

Ooh I'd not found the Ocean Cargo one.

I was all set to get the John Lewis one but dp put his foot down because it's not actually wicker, it's plastic. Hmph. Plus the stand for the JL one is huuuuge.

I have to say if money were no object I'd want this one. Drool.

I think they're quite comfy. I have a picture in my head - warm summer, big cushion, PuhPeng BFing LO in the hanging egg chair while toddler plays peacefully in the shade... arf.

I sat in one from the Pier that my friend had for ages and I hated that fucking thing.

Annoyingly there was one less than 5 miles away and I bid and bid but it never even reached reserve price . It pains me to know there is an unwanted hanging egg within 5 miles of my house and I can't have it!
