I know I am. But I am a very obsessive person and I cannot let things go, especially when I feel ripped off/hard done by/made a fool/that someone thinks they've beaten me - I know Anyway, I got an email from the phonecard site, telling me of a special offer for the whole of April - 3 £5 cards for the price of 2.
So I clicked on the link, bought 2 cards and they didn't send the pin number for the 3rd one. So I phoned them, they said they'd look into it and told me to phone back later. I did, at which point I was told I shouldn't phone, since they only deal with issued cards, and I needed to email the site. could have told me that in the first place.
So I emailed them and told them what had happened, and asked for the third pin number. Their reply?
You have purchased a ?Telco Africa Twin Pack 2 x £5? at £9.00. You did not purchase the ?Telco Africa 3 x £5 for £10? which costs £10.
my response These (I cut and paste the actual page into my email..only cards available are the £5 twin pack!) are all your telco africa cards, according to your site. Click on the button at the bottom "Telco Africa" Didn't realise there were other cards hidden somewhere else. Nice one. Have a special offer and then hide it. Very misleading.
Might I suggest you add this to your telco africa page :
2 x £5 cards get a third one free - oh no, not THESE 2 cards, you've got to FIND it, it's somewhere on the site.. we're not going to tell you where though, but it's not here, with the other telco cards and we're not going to direct you to it - see if you can find it - and while you're at it

their reply - At the time of your purchase we did not have the offer on the Telco Africa 3 for 2 cards. So you are right, these are the only Telco cards available at the time of your purchase. It is quite clearly advertised what is on offer Telco Africa Twin Pack 2 x £5

me: oh really? You sent me an email on April 5th, telling me of the offer that was "for the whole of April" I CLICKED ON THE LINK IN YOUR EMAIL and it took me to your site. I clicked on the only telco cards available, saw that it was a pack of 2, thought that must be it because it is 2 cards, they probably give a third code in the email after you've bought it. - since there was no other option, what else could it be? It did not occur to me that you would send me an email in April, telling me of an offer in April and then decide that this offer hasn't started yet. Silly, silly me. What does THE WHOLE OF APRIL mean to you then? Because it means 1st to 30th to me. Still, never mind. I can quite see how I made some silly assumptions - that you actually had the offer you emailed me about..that you would honour it...that the option 2 x £5 cards was in fact the 2 x £5 cards you had to buy to get a third one free...Let's face it, a fiver is a piddling sum and no big deal. It is the principle that has really really annoyed me. Still, never mind. I'm only one annoyed ex-customer and quite unimportant.
