Moving to Kings Heath in Birmingham?

Hi there,

I am considering moving to this area for work. I have family in Manchester and Cardiff who both want me closer so it seems a compromise! I am in my 50's with young adult children, sociable, enjoy being somewhere busy, but close to green space if possible, much prefer to be somewhere ethnically diverse, enjoy going to libraries, writing groups, gym, cafes etc. and would prefer walking distances for this kind of thing, I would like to be somewhere friendly where I can become part of a community if you see what I mean. Does anyone live in this area and can they tell me more about it?
Thanks :)

I lived in Moseley which is next door to Kings Heath but reading the list of what you're looking for in a place I'd say you've chosen very well 😊

So good to read! What is Moseley like?

It's a beautiful area, very much in the same vein as Kings Heath. Well as long as you're on the kings heath side of Moseley and not the Balsall heath side😅

Agree with @Devilsmommy , Moseley is more expensive, but the kings heath side is nice as is kings heath itself. I was born and grew up in Moseley, my parents and sister still live there. Decent primaries in both, my mum is a governor at a King's Heath school. Go for it.

Thanks @murasaki 😊

Stick to Moseley village if you want the nice end.
Kings Heath high street has a big range of shops and great places to eat.
There’s a good park near by and it’s close enough access to the city centre.
Cocks Moor leisure centre has plenty of activities.

Ooh this is looking really positive! Thanks so much @Devilsmommy @murasaki and @Danikm151 ! I am feeling really excited now. It is great to hear from people who live in the area or close enough to know. I won't need the primaries for my own children, but may end up working in one of them! :D
