I've been wondering for some time now whether one of my friends is a frenemy or at least not all that she seems.
I've caught her telling lies several times and where other people are concerned she's always either better than them or a victim of them. I find it hard to believe she could have earned half these achievements or praises she goes on about or that people could be vindictive, jealous, etc to the extent she makes out.
Then this afternoon she sent me a text saying sometimes I accuse her of things she hasn't done. She's claimed that a guy she was in love with and asked her to marry him went back to Israel where he's just disappeared after his home was raided by gunmen. According to her the woman who did marry him accused her of being after him - now she's accused me of saying it but as a good Christian she forgives me. There's nothing to forgive since I never said or thought anything of the kind.
Then she sent other texts acting like nothing had happened and inviting me to chat with her over the phone tonight. I don't know if she's got mental health problems or she's playing games with me but I'm just wondering if I should stay away.
