Does anyone know of a company that sells interim clothes for 12 - I don't know what weeks women. Some of my non-maternity clothes arestarting to feel tight but maternity clothes are too big right. I don't really want to buy larger non-maternity clothes right now. Does anyone have an suggestions?

This Belly belt kit could help extend the life of tight fitting trousers, jeans, skirts, etc

Never mind £13.95, I used to use a thick elastic band threaded through the button hole, doubled over and hooped over the button ....... and then wear long tops to hide the gape !

I also had to bite the bullet for those inbetween weeks and bought some larger than usual very cheap T shirts to tide me over until "big" maternity clothes fitted.

I did exactly the same as catsmother - I wore jeans and other trousers with an elastic band threaded through the button hole and then hooked over the button. And then a long top to hide the gap. Worked a treat.

In defence of purchasing larger non maternity clothes, they may well get a lot of wear after the baby is born, just in case you don't snap back into a size 6 straight away a la Vicky Beckham

Wear skirts a bit higher on the waist and search out your stretchy tops. I also bought a beautiful stretchy long-line top from Warehouse in my usual size that I could wear all the way through pg and still wear now! You can use elastic or waste extenders to get more life out of your trousers. The only kind of trousers I really couldn't make last were jeans and had a pair for early pg and a pair for later.

I bought some trousers and a skirt with drawstring waists in a size larger than I normally buy and they lasted me all the way up to about 7months. They are great because post-baby you can still wear them and just pull the drawstrings a little tighter.

If you get fairly stretchy material it helps too for comfort - jersey or something like that.

lol - i read this and thought of me. Ds is 12 weeks old and i am too small for maternity clothes now but too fat for my normal clothes. (snaffles a kitkat) .. must stop eating so much

Congratulations on pregnancy. I bought a belly band which was fab and i still use it. Also in early days of preg i used a hairband around button on jeans to make them more stretchy.
