Apparently it's nonsense being put about by traders who want to buy their shares cheaply when they take a tumble.

Yeah I can get in but none of my information is available at this time!

It's all rumours, not true at all.

I am not suprised they have pulled online banking. Imagine the folks trying to transfer the cash tonight. It could well createcan issue.

Well they should let me access it my £200 aint gonna hurt anyone.

(a) it's wankery traders pulling a fast one

(b) your money is covered by the government anyway so no need to worry

The FSA are not happy bunnies and are out for blood over this.

I don't think the bank of England, or teh Governemnt will let a major bank like that collapse, (not after the Northern Rock fiasco)and I certainly am not worried and hope the FSA does find out who is behind these rumours, as they could potentially destabalise the economy

all rubbish according to the beeb - it was naughty traders trying to make money by causing the share price of HBOS to drop.

Consequently they are being investigated by the FSA.

I don't think that's true Erma, traders are not stupid. Northern ROck hit problems because of a fact - that they'd had to be bailed out by the bank of England.

There don't seem (yet) to be any facts behind the rumours surrounding HBOS, hence the FSA investigation.

They said it about Lloyds TSB as well apparently

Well, I hope the FSA can find the buggers offending traders and stop this sort of scaremongering...

Rumours like these ones do have a very self fulfilling aspect about them...

It's almost enough to make you dust off the shoebox under the bed!

I just wish people would realise that even if the rumours were true taking all their money out would cause a worse disaster. They need to read up on the Wall Street Crash.
