around 16 years ago my child appeared in un explained bruising and was found to be non accidental. I lost the care of my child due to being only 17 myself, and being in an abusive relationship. I have gone on to have three other children whom there has never been any concerns with or anything and obviously not been in an abusive relationship since and learnt a lot very young going through this all.
I was interviewed by the police when this happened and no action was taken in regards to this, I was not arrested it was a voluntary interview.
I have the opportunity to apply for a new job role at my children’s school as an admin assistant, which obviously will need an enhanced dbs and bar check. I’m assuming that being child related this interview would come up on my dbs even though I was not arrested etc?
i was thinking about talking to the manager whom would be interviewing before applying to see if this would effect me, but what do you think? Am I deluded that I could possibly get this job? Or would they consider it? The school obviously know me as a parent and my children, there is nothing but positive that I can bring since that many years ago.
