I always admired her as an actress. Now she's starring in some really tacky ads for an online gaming company.

I imagine the pressure to attempt to look younger is not unrelated to your 50-year-old ex getting a 25-year-old student pregnant after meeting her while giving a lecture at her college. Not suggesting she wanted Michael Sheen back but that’s the culture Beckinsale is getting older in.

It's very typical to get a masculinised jaw when fillers are overused to create a defined jawline. Sometimes too much is injected to attempt to tighten up slackness. What you are seeing in Kate here is very very typical. It just ends up looking like Chloe Kardashian's

I'm guessing we're all of an age to remember Samantha Beckinsale from London's Burning. I don't even remember watching it particularly yet somehow remember all the cast!

Depends how old you are. She was on a very popular programme (London's Burning) in the 80s/90s, and her dad, Richard, was a national treasure. He died tragically young, I remember the shock and sorrow. She's the absolute image of her father. Many older mums netters will be well aware of her.

I mainly remember her as the ingenue in Kenneth Branagh’s Much Ado About Nothing, when she was stunningly beautiful, like a painting. It might have been one of her first roles? She’s unrecognisable now. I bet if she had aged naturally she’d look a bit like Sophie Marceau by now?
And yes, I’m old enough (just) to remember her Dad.

I follow her on instagram because I liked some of her films and have always thought she was stunning. I didn't realise her age and she does look incredible both face and body. However, I've started to go off her because a lot of her posts, for a very long time are just so "look at me" and I find that very off putting.

Had no idea she had a half sister so I'm off to google. London burning was on when I was a kid, I remember adverts and it looked great but I think I was in bed by the time it was on. I think it tailed off as I was of age

To be fair those three pictures are taken one day apart and she looks totally different in all three, which does go to show that make up and lighting (and hair colour!) can have a huge effect. Not that I’m saying she hasn’t had any work done at all. But I don’t think she can have in the space of one day!

She was a popular celebrity in the early 90s, a well known face partly because of her father who was still at the time in the hearts and minds of the public.

I posted a photo of Kate Beckinsale before all her procedures and botox. What are you on about an actress from Cold Feet for? I never mentioned any actress from Cold Feet.

I really can’t see what’s different on her IG? Apart from her hair being blonde, she looks normal - if completely ageless. But not weird or full of filler at all. She certainly doesn’t look like those photos in the OP.

I got stuck down a rabbit hole on her IG. She’s annoyingly good at yoga.

She acts quite odd on instagram- very self aware and like she’s having a rough time - and I wonder if she is not entirely herself. There was something about 2023 being the worst year or something.
For that reason I wouldn’t want to comment on her looks as she seems too vulnerable.

She was wonderful in that and in Cold Comfort Farm - she is the definitive Flora Poste to me. She was married to a Hollywood director for a relatively long time - maybe living in that superficial atmosphere skews your sense of reality.

I think she had quite a lot of work fairly early on in her move to Hollywood. She’s always denied it.
