Because my kids don't seem to listen to me and spend the whole time whinging they are hungry or eating or whinging one has had something the other hasn't.
I have tried doing fun things with them, giving them what they want etc

Arrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhh

Oh dear - I am planning to do this from next September.
Was thinking it would be fun. Picking them up from school, time for after school activities, baking, having a clean house, time to play tennis.
Realistically, its going to be peace keeping the whole time isn't it?
I hope other clever MNers come on and give you lots of advice, which i will save and use later in the year.

What you need to do is make sure that the days you're not working, you're not trying to work. You need to really BE with them and give them your full attention (easier said than done). Might also be worth having a plan of action re going out, activities, play dates etc.

I work part time (for myself) and find it really hard to switch off. Their behaviour gets worse the minute I try to achieve someting work related.

Hang in there
