I am a cruel woman !

But I am really looking forward to the three working days between Christmas & New Year when dh has sole charge all day for three days !!

The poor love is feeling very nervous, he has had sole charge of ds (3.5) before all day but never dd (8m) as well except for one bedtime last week.

But the benefits will be huge as it will really help the bonding between dd & dh, plus I should get massive appreciation. I am a WMOTH (are those the right initials) for 4 days and SAHM on Fridays, the weekends we are both there, but DH just gets away a bit more frequently than I do eg today I took dd & ds to a birthday party so we were gone between 10 & 2:30.

So the big question is - How often will I get a big bunch of flowers?

TheHollyAndTheTwiglett · 19/12/2004 21:51

.. well if you take him a big bunch of flowers / present home every night he might get the hint .. sauce for the gander and all that Debbie

WOTHM I think (Working Outside The Home Mother)

Thanks Twiglett, I must make sure he gets at least one token of appreciation - so I get them to

Jinglebells, I must think of a days outing that I can do, however shopping is out as it shouldn't cost more than a game of golf (about £25)

Any ideas anyone?

Sorry to disappoint, but if hes anything like my dp you'll be expected to praise him for at least an hour when you get in for the really hard day he has had. Then clean up the entire house, because he is soooooo exhausted.

(magic fairies do the cleaning when i'm at home)

Gobbledigoose · 19/12/2004 22:10

Yes, and don't forget to remind him that he probably found the day exhausting looking after the kids and I bet he doesn't go near the hoover, washing machine, tumble dryer, kitchen floors, windows......

Debbiethemum · 19/12/2004 22:12

No nothing is going to get cleaned or washed. I asked him to do one thing for me today - strip the bed & put the sheets in the washing machine, So they won't get done till after Christmas now as the laundrey basket hs filled itself in the meantime

I will just hold a vain hope he may have cooked dinner!! Of course in order for this to be a vague possibility I must first work out the weeks menu & do the shopping.
