Which small (very small) car has the best suspension?

KatyMac · 07/03/2008 08:47

I might be trading in my people carrier for a minibus

So there is a possibility that I need a small car of my own (rather than for work)

I drive DH's Smart (forfour) but I find the suspension a nightmare

Any ideas for a smooth ride?

I have a citroen ax (well, have had to swap with dh, and use the mummymobile most of the time) but the suspension is fab, I have driven it late at night/early in the morning with a cuppa parked between my legs! Even better it has big storage bits in the doors, just right to put the cup in when needed.

only down side: it's a bugger trying to get replacement panals as they rarely end up in the breakers. I have been trying to replace my bumper for 2 yrs after a hit and run.

plus sides, very economical, and reliable. relatively big boot space.

And in response to the unasked - it's a bit small for that! we have tried, but not very successfully!

Now the cab of dh's artic when he was on the lorries...

OMG!!! I was going to ask about THAT, but then erased it!!

spooooky!!!

Or maybe the subject always gets around to THAT on mn!!

not spooky, predictable. why wait for the tone to be lowered

Look I'm going to have a minibus as well so that isn't really an issue is it?

I had a Mini when I was younger (so old style, not that newfangled shape) and the suspension was pretty good iirc. In fact, it was good enough that I managed to knacker the car by being able to constantly drive at speed down my Mum's incredibly bumpy unmade road

KatyMac · 08/03/2008 12:46

Oh I'd love a mini - not sure I can afford one but Oh they are lovely
