Previews of non-british foods

Hiya. Has anyone else been lucky in getting to try food that hadn't been on sale in UK or before it was popular. For example when I was in primary school in the late 70's one of my friends was American (there was a u.s airbase nearby) and she used to bring in loads of packets of M & Ms before they were available in the UK. Plus my sister lived in the States in late 90's/early 2000's and used to send over packets of Idahoan mashed potatoes - they were nicer than Smash etc.🇺🇲🇬🇧

Hi I'm in badly need of advice. I'm 4'11" and about 12 stone and I really need to lose weight. I'm on a really low budget so can't afford to go to slimming classes or join a gym. I have a few health problems and I think if I lost weight it would help with them. I hate being this size - I've always been big though I have managed to lose some weight and tone up via exercising but end up putting it all back on again. I get so jealous of reading/hearing about people who have lost loads of weight and they look absolutely gorgeous - I even get jealous of my friend who lost weight!!!! I'm in my late 40's and menopausal and don't have much willpower or motivation. Please be kind and I look forward to reading any help anyone can offer.

Re. your other post, I remember having Orangina in France before you could get it in the UK. Agree with you that Idahoan mash is nice!
