Yes.

An 8 year old 7 seater.

we have 5 dc

and we use it to pull horses/cattle in a trailer

OrmIrian · 06/03/2008 13:42

Dh does. A teeny weeny little one. He's a builder - is that OK?

pedilia · 06/03/2008 14:03

I have a 4x4 and I love it!
I have an Izusu Trooper 7 seater and I tow a horsebox and it does a daily run around a 5 acre field to fill water, so there!

FIRE UP THE QUATTRO

bozza · 06/03/2008 14:09

no

needmorecoffee · 06/03/2008 14:24

they are hated, peanut, because they are not necassary in a city environment. Poeple up mountains or those hauling livestock around need a decent working vehicle. You don't need one to drive to Sainsbo's.
I reckon if they hadn't proliferated in the cities then all this fuss wouldn't have arisen and those who genuinely need one wouldn't be slapped with all the higher tax etc etc (although I remember farmers get cheap red deisel?)
They are unneccasry in London.

GentleOtter · 06/03/2008 15:58

Needmorecoffee - we are FORBIDDEN to run on red diesel. The police dip your tanks on market day and any other time they want.

needmorecoffee · 06/03/2008 19:03

when did that change? Surely thats daft cos farmers have to bring in the crops and move livestock?

McDreamy · 06/03/2008 19:04

Yup I drive a Nissan X Trail

Blu · 06/03/2008 19:10

Of course not!

I live in inner-city London, not the Sahara! And I have a tent not a caravan, and the only animals I transport to the vet are 2 dwarf rabbits not horses or sheep or llama.

Whooosh · 06/03/2008 19:10

Yes and so what-I should be shot?

cazboldy · 06/03/2008 19:13

you are allowed it in agricultural vehicles only (i.e tractors) needmorecoffee

and only then if 100% agricultural uses

cameroonmama · 06/03/2008 19:25

Yes I have one, but I live in Africa so is that alright then? Or is it worse because the poor Africans may starve because of the harm my 4x4 is doing to their environment?

DforDiva · 06/03/2008 22:58

has any one been stopped and told how bad they are? at traffic? or lights
dont get it wrong we had jeep grand cherokee
it just some people takes too much parking space and etc...

southeastastra · 06/03/2008 23:03

if you have a horse or cattle or sheep etc or live in the sticks course you need a 4x4

you don't need them in north london, unless you're a knob.

mercedes are in fashion now anyway, numpties

ajandjjmum · 07/03/2008 08:44
