How many indoor play centres are there in your town?

We used to have several where I live, but two have just closed, among them I used to go to every Tuesday to meet up with other mums. Am gutted . Why are they all closing? Surely there must be a market for them?
Soon there will just be Brewsters left, and I don't like Brewsters. The one I used to go to was ideal for younger and older children, and you could see your children all the time so that you could drink your coffee in peace.
Am I the only one who's a fan of these kind of places?

Within my local area I know of at least 5, not including the ones in the family pubs. All are still going strong at the moment. Sure there are more that I just don't know about too.

I do take DD sometimes when i meet up with a friend and her DS. Find them a bit noisy and a bit hectic if not in term time week days, though.

I loathe them. We have one in our town; I've been once in 2.5 yrs, and dh has been once.

No your not alone in bieng a fan of indoor play places, i love them too!
We have two at our local gyms.
They are specifically for mobile babies and toddlers and run every morning. They are entiltled "soft play areas" and are fab. They are something like £1.60/£2 per session and you dont have to become a member and can go if and when you please. They run on a "drop in" basis.
Currently i meet up with friends with toddlers and we have decided that when our tots are older we will go for lunch after the sessions and make a nice day of it. (we meet once a week at the moment)
In actual fact i met up for the first time last week with another MNer.
Ive enlisted a couple more friends to come as well so i think by the new year we will have a fairly substantial group of friends both with each other as mums but also our tots will have a little social group too.
I do believe though that we are very lucky to have this facility and im confident that they wont be shut down because of the sheer number of people attending,im sure that although the fee is small, collectively they must make a packet.
