My turn to have a rant.....(it turned out to be long!!)

I am so mad that some bl**dy trousers have made me want to scream, I can't believe.

Last week you may have noticed a post saying I had spilled some butter on some brand new trousers. On trying to rectify the situation ie iron them with some paper on, I melted the material. Which OK, is quite amusing. However I am trying to replace them. They were from Dorothy Perkins, so I looked in out local branch and they didn't have them (the original ones were only 3 weeks old!) So decided to ordered them over the internet, fine, not. I wanted putty, but it kept telling me I was ordering khaki, by the time I managed to persuade it to order the putty, the size had defaulted from my original input of 14R to 10L. Unfortunately I didn't notice this until the confirmation mail was sent back to me straight away. I looked on the sites terms and conditions and it said that orders could be amended upto 1 hour after placing them but you need to mail this address. (all this was going on at 10pm on Saturday evening) I did mail the address saying I needed to change the size - no reply til monday PM, saying it was too late the order was on its way. Today I received a mail saying the 10L's are being despatched today????? I've tried since Saturday ringing the number and it's either engaged or the line is busy, I've tried mailing their office saying don't bother sending anything to me as it's just a waste of time and as a final straw asked someone to either ring me or give me a number where I can actually speak to someone to sort this out, no surprises thats not been answered. OK, I know it's my fault for not re-checking the size I thought I'd put in originally but I don't understand how they can have no contact number that you can actually get through on and they won't respond to any e-mails. So the bottom line is, If I want these trousers I have to pay another £3.95 postage to get the right size sent, so trousers that were very cheap at £18 have now cost me £44 and god knows how much on telephone calls getting through to an answer maching telling me they're busy and asking me to ring back.

Thank you if you have managed to follow and finish the story of my tale.

you have my full sympathy Furball. I've had a similar rant only half an hour or so ago (see ELC online message).
So much for modern technology huh!
