If anyone is interested, I managed to find a way to get rid of layers of tile adhesive

I am knackered and only did one and a half walls, but I finally got it off, with a wallpaper steamer thing.

1 wall left to do and then my dad should be able to retile it.

Next job - strip the walls in my room.

My house looks like a bulding site at the mo, but I am sure it will be worth it in the end.

Shame you dont have a tip on getting years-old stuck on grout off tiles! The previous owners of our house have alot to answer for!!!

You can get grout remover from Wickes RGPargy. No idea if it works, but I noticed it the other day.
