Baby struggling to pop

Hello, my baby is 10 weeks old, exclusively breastfed and is currently on day 12 of no poo! The longest he has gone is 9 days. I have started him on latulose but it seems to make him grouchy. I feel like I've tried everything. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else out there experienced this? Please help.

Warm baths and you gently bicycling their legs is usually recommended but really I’d go to the GP

My baby has also had the same problem, You can give your child light exercise, drink lots of water, and take a warm bath. Because warm water has the ability to stimulate the anal sphincter, promote bowel movements, and soften stools. Besides happy wheels, using a warm towel on the anus is also a way to help your child go to the toilet faster.

My baby had the same problem, I contacted the GP at the time who advised that anything beyond 4 days should be seen by a doctor. He was going to prescribe a suppository from memory.

Definitely contact GP!

UPDATE
He is now a lot older so we did get past this. However incase anyone is worried about their babe, we went to the GP and the pediatrician who also agreed that he was a healthy happy baby who was just using all the breastmilk and their exact words were 'it will come' he was like this until 6 months old when I went onto formula, his record was 17 days no poo! He never had constipated poo and he never was uncomfortable or showed any signs of being unhealthy. Latulose just upset his tummy so i didnt keep giving that as it wasnt a constipation problem.I would ofcourse recommend always seeing your GP for reassurance however for those breastfed mammas, know that sometimes your babies just won't produce as much waste. (This is completely different for formula fed or combi fed)

It's common for breastfed babies to go several days without pooping. If you're worried, consult your pediatrician. snake.io

It sounds like you're going through a tough time! 12 days is definitely a long stretch, especially with the added fussiness. While breastfed babies can sometimes go a while without pooping, it's worth checking in with your pediatrician just to rule out anything more serious. Maybe they have suggestions beyond lactulose or can offer reassurance. Have you tried gentle tummy massages or bicycle legs? Some moms swear by those techniques. Hopefully, this too shall pass, and your little Sprunki will be back to their happy self soon!
