I'm listening to an audiobook, the main plot being the big palaver of how this lass is going to smuggle the jewels she bought in England over to America without paying import duty. I don't see what would be so hard about it? This is the 1920s/30s. How would anyone know if you shoved them up your kicker leg and just strolled through customs?
