Hello,
Does anyone know how can I became a homelessness officer? Is there any training course? I was homeless for almost 2 years with my children and I would like to help other people who is in this horrible situation.

Thank you.

Do you mean Like a support worker, or someone employed by the local authority?

I'd start by offering to volunteer somewhere supporting the homeless

Ask the staff what training , or experience they look for and make yourself really well known for committed work , the right attitude and fitting in with a positive attitude

Good luck 💐

We employ Housing officers (local council) - I would imagine most councils do. Have a look at the jobs pages for what’s going, and maybe Google re any quals you might need.

DH is one with the local council. He originally got the job as a temp job through an agency with no prior experience and is still doing the job 20+ years on! Where he is, they just advertise when they need new staff and train on the job if someone has no experience. I’d try your local council first and see if they’re advertising. DH has done a lot of training courses through work over the years. Good luck!
