Just that really! I thought this was a forum to get advice, hand holds, honest (but hopefully kind) opinions, stories of experience. So why do people just have to be so mean, unhelpful sometimes abusive! Keyboard warriors hiding behind anonymity. Sad really what it says about the human race! If you haven't got anything nice or constructive to say, then don't say anything at all!

It's just a forum full of people. You'll get all of the responses, especially if you post in AIBU.

Some people delight in being twats because they can get away with it in ways they can't in the real world. Equally, some of the opening posts on here are ridiculous.

People are generally kinder on the specialist boards as there's less traffic. Chat, AIBU and Relationships are a free for all.

I don't think people are obliged to be "nice" though. Sometimes people need to be told.

I agree with you, OP and I think that a few people have been especially twattish over the last couple of days. It didn't used to be like this. (I remember when all this were fields). It's a shame, but it's just how online life is these days. The end result is that a valuable source of support for worried mums and lonely women has been kicked out from under us.

Some people might have such negative feelings about women talking that they act to sabatage it.

That's what I think anyway.

You get a few genuine supportive good eggs but generally there is little sisterhood, especially in aibu, where women enjoy tearing each other down and picking posts to shreds, although I think a lot are male trolls too.
