Hi everybody - I have a Mothercare Santa suit age 6-9 months going spare if anybody wants it - CAT me with your name and address and I'll post it to you (free).
My ds wore it last year and he looked the bees knees (actually my dp thought it was too daft for words but I disagree). I reckon there must be a lovely chubby baby out there just waiting to be dressed up as the man in red. It's clean, only been worn a few times and (as they say on ebay) we are a non smoking, pet free household.

Am going to CAT you right now!

monkeymagic · 08/12/2004 13:48

It's in an envelope awaiting your address - CAT hasn't turned up yet.

Sad did you receive my CAT ? Sent it at about 11.00 this morning.....

wrapmefestively · 08/12/2004 14:10

I think there is sometimes a delay before the CAT via the mumsnet team reaches your inbox. Mine was sent at 10.59 Grin tee hee hee!

jellybabe83 · 08/12/2004 16:11

Oh, okay.... Fair enough then....!

monkeymagic · 08/12/2004 18:37

Still no sign of them pesky CATs, perhaps mn central is on its xmas party today. Maybe someone else will have a spare festive suit for jellybabe?

jellybabe,

Sorry I was being a bit naughty and joking with you about the 10.59 thing Smile.I can't remember precisely what time it was I sent the CAT - probably a few minutes after you!

Lets leave it in monkeymagic's capable hands, and whoever's CAT gets there first (if they ever get there!) is the lucky recepient.

Must say monkeym, irrespective of who ends up getting the coveted suit, its very generous of you to go to the bother of posting it off etc, and giving it away.

jellybabe83 · 09/12/2004 09:04

Lol, no worries.....! I'm a bit slow at the moment I think!
I agree with what you said about it being very generous. Most people wouldn't go to the trouble unless they were getting something out of it....!
xx

a quick update:
Both CATs arrived at exactly the same time today. So I decided to toss a coin, and the winner is......................wrapmefestively. In the post to you today.

Thank you for your kind words. I can be a screaming old hippy at times and I do believe that giving and receiving works on a more universal level. Since I decided to give this to you, I've received a bunch of interesting work offers, so I do feel that I've got something out of it in the broader sense. Also I have got a lot out of mn this year in a Lady Lurkalot kind of way, so this is my chance to put something back into the community.Smile

Awwww thanks monkeymagic...I never win anything so this must be a first!

(and sorry jellybabe)

Happy Christmas both! And great news about the job offers monkeymagic Smile

P.S. I tend to believe in good and bad karma too!

wrapmefestively · 14/12/2004 12:47

Monkeymagic,

The Santa suit arrived in the post yesterday and it's lovely - ds will wear it with pride, and will look so cute in it. Thanks for both the suit and the Christmas card [happy]

I shall be sending you a proper thank you card and Christmas card just as soon as ds gets over the vomiting bug he is currently suffering from

wrapmefestively · 14/12/2004 12:48

Don't know what happened to my happy smiley - used the wrong word I guess.......durrr plonker!

wrapmefestively · 14/12/2004 21:33

Just bumping this to maximise the chances of you seeing it

monkeymagic · 15/12/2004 20:19

Hi wmf - glad you like it. There's something about a baby in a Santa suit that really makes people smile.
