Just about to go college, but was wondering if you could come up with some ideas for me. She's 18, been with her dp a year next weekend, and they are officially getting engaged next weekend on their 1st year anniversary although already brought the ring. Im not particularly close to her but think I should get her something. Any ideas? My mum needs some ideas too! Thanks xxx

she practically lives with her dp, although she still technically lives at mums. i think most people will opt to buy them champagne though

Bumping this up as Im seeing my sister on Wednesday for dd's birthday so would like to give her something then as I'm sure I'll be hearing all about it then. When I got engaged [painful memory emoticon] my family got me a new tv, partly cos my last one had almost blown up but spent more than they could have on it, so think I should get something for them. Mum has already given them a vase, wine glasses, champagne, roses and there was something else as well, but not too sure. Plus this is a long engagement so they're not getting married for another few years so can't get anything towards the wedding. Thanks. xxx

When I got engaged, I was given loads and loads of handtowels, they do come in quite useful but a couple of those really big bath sheets would have been better. What about something like that, and perhaps a few bath bombs and candles from Lush - they do champagne ones etc. Set the romantic scene for them Smile Smile HTH
