OMG

southeastastra · 09/02/2008 20:30

this is why blogs are wrong

Maidamess · 09/02/2008 20:31

I'm not sure if thats the cutest thing I've ever seen, or one of the weirdest.

juuule · 09/02/2008 20:31

But why would you do that?
Why spoil those lovely little pink toes and toenails with hideous red paint.

Lulumama · 09/02/2008 20:31

ye gods

some people have waaaaaay too much time on their hands

avenanap · 09/02/2008 20:32

Sorry. That should be classed as child abuse. That's just dumb. They'll be sticking lipstick and short skirts on her next. I bet they will start to market baby bras!

ChirpyGirl · 09/02/2008 20:33

My DD had black paint round her toenails after I did a footprint for DH's birthday, if I had seen this I would have gone the whole hog and gother her up with rpise instead of hiding them!

Sidge · 09/02/2008 20:33

That baby is so pretty.

Would look even better if they took off the nail varnish, bracelet and Easter Egg band from her head...

sophierosie · 09/02/2008 20:33

The only way I can get DD to sit still for long enough to cut her toenails is to promise that she can have nailpolish on afterwards as a treat - she's not even three yet

Before I had kids I used to see children with makeup etc on and used to think it was disgusting, let them be kids etc. But dd just wants to be like mummy and if it means that I can stop her having ingrowing toenails without a saga to cut them then so be it! I do draw the line at fingernails though

madamez · 09/02/2008 20:34

I thought the most hootably vulgar thing I had ever seen was the 15-month-old girl in her buggy I spotted in the pawnbrokers last year. Gold hoopy earrings, white frilly flouncy gold-beaded scrunchy, gold necklace and bracelets, and white socks trimmed with more lace and gold beads... But, while I would happily paint DS' toenails should he ever ask, I really can't get my head round doing it to a baby.

Maidamess · 09/02/2008 20:38

why not have this done to your favourite baby photo

PeppermintPatty · 09/02/2008 20:40

And babies toenails are so tiny you'd need SUCH a steady hand.
Often I end up with painted toes as well as toenails , and thats when I'm painting my own grown-up sized nails

Oh and naff naff naff!

muppetgirl · 09/02/2008 20:48

...painted toenails at 5 weeks...

....eating disorder at 7.....

Tigerschick · 09/02/2008 20:49

Painted toe-nails is weird.
That photo that Maidamess linked to is plain creepy!

Indith · 09/02/2008 20:50

Ok loads of those pictures are wrong (baby on a shelf, why? baby in bucket, is that supposed to be cute?) but this is making me far too broody for words and is a beautiful picture.

jeremyspants · 09/02/2008 20:52

bluenosesaint · 09/02/2008 23:36

Well i'm not sure that it should be classed as "child abuse" but eeeeuuuughhhhhh - that is seriously wrong

As for that photo maidamess - words fail me why oh why would you do that?? Crazy!! ...and verrrrry weird

Jbck · 09/02/2008 23:49

I think she looks like one of the Reborn ones.

MrsEi25 · 09/02/2008 23:58

LOL at the linked photos maidamess that photo was very creeeeeeeeepy!! indith aaawwwwww that is so cute i think my womb just skipped a beat
i sometimes paint one or two of DDs fingernails when she asks (usually when i am doing my own) but i wouldnt go so far as intentionally painting her nails in a bright colour. its a bit OTT
madamez did the child in question have a fruitshoot in her hand?? (i would have to resrain the vom...) a girl who lived a few doors down from my mum had her DD dressed up like an american pageant contestant most of the time she had her ears peirced at 3 months and was wearing little baby sovereign earrings and a ring to match...yellow gold of course[eww]
