We had one done by magic custard - is that the same?

Tried to do it ourselves in atub as they suggested and failed miserably because baby kept moving or touching bottom. We wasted so much stuff. Called magic custard lady for help and she same over. She used a big jay cloth and filled it with the 'custard' (imagine the shape of the blanket a stork carries on baby cards). Then she stuck DS foot into it and kind of quickly moulded it round his foot. Worked first time.

Oh crikey I attempted to do one of these for a maternity client last year.

Kit looked really easy peasy, simply pour jel like substance into tray provided, leave yto set for 30 seconds then gently place baby's hand into cast and hold still for a minute!

Ha bloody ha!

The moment baby C's hand touched the jel she gurgled and smiled....'so far so good' thought I'! Silly me! She scrunched her hand up into a fist, and began squeezing the jel in between her fingers. Well by the time I had extraceted said hand her babygro was splattered with blue jel like substance. I meanwhile had it on my face, in my hair, well everywhere actually.
Our 'hand imprint' looked like some kind of ancient relic, and the nursery looked like an attack from the Ghostbusters had taken place.

Good Luck though

In the end I cheated..... lucikly still had some jel left...I left it to set then placed her hand on it and drew round it with a pencil, cut it out and voila!

I bought a kit from QS strangely enough- they only tend to have them in the larger branches.
