to giving up on them and offering it to someone else??

Posted 2 items on my local Freecycle late Wednesday night. Woke up to 4 replies, the first one was sent at 1.25am on Thursday morning......all asking if they were still available.

I replied at 10.15 on Thursday morning to say that they were and would she like to arrange to come and collect them....I've heard nothing from her since. Sent another email at 5pm this evening asking if she was still interested..

How long should I leave it before offering to next person/re-offering them on Freecycle???

I would offer them to next person. If they're that interested they would reply sooner?!!

FAQ · 08/02/2008 19:57

Do you think so - it's not a very busy group and I can't help but wonder from the odd time of her post if she works shifts or something.

Or am I just thinking too far into it??

maybe be nice and wait a little while then.!!

I always send another e-mail 24 hours after my original offer saying, Tell me when you would like to collect or I will re-offer at 10am tomorrow or something. That way you give them a chance to reply, and if you hear nothing, you can get on with the next interested person.

I'd wait til tomorrow - she may work nights and is sleeping all day??

If you haven't heard by tomorrow night/Sunday then I'd offer it to the next person

Thanks shall leave it until tomorrow evening, if she hasn't replied by then I'll send her another email telling her I'll relist on Sunday afternoon if I haven't heard from her.

I just remember what it was like for me when I was working nights, my internet use/email checking was often iratic
