Engineer was due yesterday between 8am and 1pm, total no show depsite reassurances that someone would come out to us before 6pm again no show.

So new booking for today man will be here between 12 noon and 6pm so what time place your bets, there's a green lolly in it for the winner!

Ring them to make sure they are comming, my friend waited three weeks for an engineer to bring her parts, they booked an appointment every couple of days but always had an excuse. One day she got a letter to say he would be there three days before she got the letter - he hadn't come that day!

whomovedmychocolate · 07/02/2008 11:45

I find jumpers much more effective. Besides, the dust is a layer of insulation

Seriously I'm sure he'll turn up. You can always ring and hector them - that sometimes helps.

Personally we have a stash of electric heaters for when our central heating packs up. It's worth it.

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 07/02/2008 11:46

Ours once said they came at 5.50pm but no one answered. We were the last call of the day and they couldn't be bothered is what they meant! No one came. I was in and no one can come to my door without me seeing them.

katz · 07/02/2008 12:03

nab they tried that yesterday said someone had phoned to tell us that that are booking had been put on hold, yeah right we were in all day and also have an answer phone and checked 1471 too last number to ring was a friend!

i'm tempted to ring and check that they are coming today and to see how far behind the engineer is already.

have played the medical need card last night as DD2 has a rare skin condition which also gives her reynauds (SP) and if her fingers get cold she screams in pain. hoping that will help us be seen today.

They really are rubbish at times!

LIZS · 07/02/2008 12:16

6.30, after you've had to make another fuss , from my recent experience.

LadyOfWaffle · 07/02/2008 12:17

friday 4.02pm again

kindersurprise · 07/02/2008 12:19

Phone them every hour, until they are so peeed off that they send him over to get rid of you.

I worked in sales and the customers

foxythesnowman · 07/02/2008 12:19

If they don't show they can give you a 2 hour slot. Which is exactly why I am sitting in now...

LIZS · 07/02/2008 12:21

It's amazing what they can do when pushed isn't it Foxy katz can you get eh engineers' number and call to get a betetr idea of eta. Ours called back when he was about 15 mintues away.

katz · 07/02/2008 12:43

august

foxythesnowman · 07/02/2008 12:47

Oh, and I got a goodwill £10 after asking for a refund on my monthly payment as they didn't meet their side of things and didn't notify me

katz · 07/02/2008 13:02

phoned and was told to phone back after 3 if he's not here, then they will be able to give me an eta.

mcfee · 07/02/2008 13:08

phone at 3.01, play the medical card again and also do something like put a funny picture on the door so that when they claim to have arrived at 5.59 but no-one's at home you can catch them out by asking what the picture was.

katz · 07/02/2008 13:12

like that idea, but i'm very much doubting that anyone will come near my house! unless they keep slots open for the day befores over spill i very much doubt the engineer will have time to see me.

i phoned monday at 8am when the call centre opens and wed am was the first available, so don't believe that when i phones at 8pm last night they had one for today. think they were just apeasing the angry women on the phone.

OP posts:
mcfee · 07/02/2008 13:32

you could always try the tearful woman on the phone trick if the angry one doesn't work today.
Ridiculous I know but then at least you have the knowledge that you've ruined the day of one of their staff.

foxythesnowman · 07/02/2008 13:40

If it makes you feel any better engineer 1 turns up too late Monday after the 6 hour slot so can't come in, tells me he can't do the job anyway as no parts. Engineer 2 has just been. Can't do the job as no parts. He's coming back on Tuesday.

Perhaps he'll have parts, perhaps not! Gosh, its just such a lottery, such excitement!!

katz · 07/02/2008 13:50

oh know foxy! send him my way though if he's done, don't care if its a long drive. i just want an engineer here NOW!

OP posts:
mcfee · 07/02/2008 13:52

katz · 07/02/2008 14:02

OP posts:
katz · 07/02/2008 16:29
