Any suggestions/recommendations gratefully received. Thanks!

Our VW Passat can, as long as the seats don't have these extra wide arm rests -- one of our booster seats does have these stupid little extensions, and it's a right pain (just use it as a spare for the front seat, now).

My picasso will fit a 9 month plus or infant carrier plus a high backed booster plus a normal booster

PeatBog · 04/02/2008 19:14

Volvo V70 can, or the XC70 or 90

i'm in a renault scenic and that fits three across - I had one baby carrier on a car base, and two toddler seats in a row. I've also had three in a row in a picasso, but one of them was a booster...happy shopping!

luckylady74 · 04/02/2008 19:23

you could always have a fiat multipla - ours is fab - it has 3 seats in front and back

lulalullabye · 04/02/2008 19:25

second vote for Passat and a very nice car too !!

geekgirl · 04/02/2008 19:28

the Corolla Verso can

chubbymummy · 04/02/2008 19:28

The xsara picasso can and it has 3x 3 point seatbelts in the back that are compatible with most carseats. Tonnes of room in the boot and lovely to drive too (I was used to small cars and was worried about driving something large but it's great and easy to park).

Thank you - am noting all these down.

Was bought a 3dr zippy-about-town hatchback, only within the year to get married, have a baby and be living in ruraldom, so thanks for guiding me into not make another car purchasing mistake

Focus CMAX can, I have just gone from a Clio to it and was v nervous about driving a big car but it's brilliant lovely and smooth to drive. Big boot as well.

Volvo V70 has a built-in booster seat in the middle of the back seat. You can easily fit a car seat either side.

You can also have the option to have two extra fold-flat seats in the boot, which are very handy when you find yourself with a couple of visiting kids to add to your own brood.

frogs · 04/02/2008 20:40

Seatbelts on the Volvos are v. short, though, so you can't fit a rear-facing baby carrier in.

princessmel · 04/02/2008 20:40

My Renault Espace can. Its a 7 seater.

Sparkletastic · 04/02/2008 20:41

Another vote for the Toyota Corrolla although the turning circle is appalling.

PeatBog · 05/02/2008 10:31

Ruby, now you've worried me. Have just bought second-hand V90 ...

We managed to squeeze 2 maxi-cosi and 1 booster into a Subaru Legacy, and that really does scuff yr hand, but dd1 has become very good at climbing into her seat so that I don't have to undo the seatbelt

TheHonEnid · 05/02/2008 10:35

multipla fits three car seats with ease

not a massive boot though - enough for three kids stuff and shopping but a holiday is a squeeze

Doing the same thing at the moment - trying to fit in a baby seat, toddler seat and booster seat. Not many 'ordinary' cars will do it. Looking at the Ford Galaxy or LR Discovery now. Volvo XC90 can do it but has a woeful automatic gearbox!
Liked the seats on Fiat Multipla or Hinda FRV, but boot is way too small for holidays!

Poledra · 05/02/2008 16:10

Honda, of course

PeatBog · 05/02/2008 17:03

sorry, am getting confused (we looked at so many different ones): second-hand XC70, so an estate, not Chelsea Tractor Am still a yummy mummy, tho .

Pixel · 05/02/2008 19:35

I've had a Britax car seat and two Graco boosters in the back of my Renault Laguna and it has a huge boot.
