Woo-hoo! New house, new job (no stress at all then..!)

Looks like the house sale is back on! It was all off, our house was back on the market and right at the last minute our estate agent suggested trying to get the people we're buying off to go down slightly (as our buyers were forcing our price down). It worked!! So it's full steam ahead and we're hoping to complete at the end of Feb.

On the same day this week, I found out I've got a job I went for - a half time secondment which will change what I do completely. Very scary but really exciting - and I start on Monday...

So they say things come in three - what's next????!

I'm thinking an accidental pregnancy is pretty unlikely

So glad the house move is back on though, and congratualtions on the new job!

That's a new, special way of writing congratulations that I just save for my favourite Mumsnetters.

Fantastic - I was wondering how it was working out.

When you say half-time secondment, does that mean that you will work in your current job half-time and your secondment job half-time or that you will now be a part-time worker?

Dottydot · 02/02/2008 21:40

Thanks! Half time secondment plus half time at my current work but doing a different job, so still working full-time but in different places. It's really quite scary - the half time secondment is kind of based in London (I'm in Manchester) so I'll have to go down once a week, possibly a bit more but hopefully do most of it up here. Not sure yet...

Sooooo excited about the house - we're taking a builder round on Saturday to see what walls we can knock down
