Bristol university dentistry online interview advice

My daughter is due to have an online interview for dentistry at Bristol university. One of the things she has been asked to do is create and design a matchbox and fill it with five items that you would take with you to uni. These should reflect who you are and not be to do with dentistry. Has anyone done this interview or similar. Any good advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance for any help

There's no "right answer" to this sort of thing and it's better for her to try to be original rather than looking at what other people have done.

However, a good approach would be to think of 5 personality traits, talents or personal preferences which are aspects of why your dd wants to do dentistry, and is particularly suited to it, without being directly about teh obviously, and then think of a linked small item that represents each one.

E.g. without any connection to dentistry I might include e.g. a pound coin so I could buy an emergency packet of crisps or use it as a trolley token because I like to be prepared for any eventuality, and a fidget toy because I have a neurodiverse condition and need to fidget all the time, and a mini tapestry kit (would have to be very very mini to fit in a matchbox) because I'm creative.

It is insanely boring interviewing twice as many candidates as there are spaces on a popular course if you do it in a "normal" way because you spend the whole time with overwhelming deja-vu as so many of this year's batch seem identical to last year's, and to each other. This sounds like a great idea to give each kid a few minutes to communicate what they are like without hearing the same old answers over and over again

Faazohuyzeosix, thank you so much for your helpful reply, she's really worried about messing it up after working so hard to get to this stage.
