And can your partner park ok?I'm just listening to the debate on radio 2 that says women can't park cars and men can.I really can't park the car at all but have been driving now for 18 years. If I can't find a space big enough to just drive into which I am ok at I won't attepmt to reverse park if I'm on a busy road and i know people will have to wait for me cos I know i will need at least 2 attempts to do it.Perhaps it's just genetic or is it just a skill thing? Can you do it well?

Had a 'situation' the other day when I was driving my husbands car with him in the passenger seat. He always reverses into our driveway so I did the same. I was ok until he started shouting at me, "You didn't pull far enough over in the road to start with that's why your having to do it again!" followed by "STOP!" when he thought I was going to hit his wing mirror on the gate. I was miles away. In the end I couldn't do with him and got out of the car telling him to do it himself! Funny how I can do it when he's not there though!

I learned to park properly by taking driving lessons when I lived near a football ground and the instructor would always make me park in tiny spaces when she dropped me off, she never just let me stick the hazards on and jump out. this morning I even let a man in a big car have the end ie easy space in a parking bay so I had to reverse into mine..such a show off!

Have a Ford Ka and it is brilliant to park - we have to double park at work because the carpark isn't big enough. A bit more pressure when its a colleagues car you hit rather than the kerb. But I nearly always get a space. And I'm brave enough to try in DH's Laguna. Would do better if I could be bothered to move the wing mirrors. I think Simon Howard as a point though and I do think my spatial awareness is quite good - can read a map for instance.

So I'm quite a good passenger and a reasonable driver. DH is the worst passenger in the history of driving. So we frequently fall out when I'm drving.
