Ju Jitsu? Whats the self defence martial art called?

We live in inner city. I'd like my son to try a sport which could protect him if need be, but is non aggressive.
Whats the strictly self defence one called?

Aikido is non aggressive particularly if you go for ki aikido. But is v good for self defence I had to use it twice in my own defence, both times I broke the chap in questions wrist (oopsy)

Ju Jitsu is a bit more fierce. Involving pressure point pain application, but the wrist locks and throws are pretty much the same across all martial arts.

I like Te Ashi-do Jutsu which is a combination of Tae Kwon-do (Korean military martial art) and Taiho Jutsu (Japanese police martial art) so it is all about how to block and protect yourself but you learn how to attack if needs be.

I'm going to enrol my DS in it as soon as I can afford it.
