Where to go for a 2 year olds birthday?

DS2 is turning 2 next month. Chances are it'll be raining or at least quite cold so not sure a farm/zoo is a good idea.

Can anyone suggest a day out suitable for a 2 year old that's a bit different to everyday soft play please? Bonus points if it's also suitable for a 5 year old.

We're not doing a party so wanted a family day or at least afternoon out somewhere and I'm stuck!

Thank you 😊

Swimming at a pool with lots of slides, wave machine, splash pad etc?

Do you have a trampoline/bounce place nearby?

Was going to suggest others as pp.
Is there an inflatable park near you?

DH won't go in the water so swimming out unfortunately but would be a huge hit I'm sure.

I didn't consider trampoline or inflatable parks though, will take a look thank you!

This is what lots of the 2 year olds I know did for their birthday.

Many have toddler sessions too which would be good if you have a 2 and 5 year old as they are unlikely to get bumped into by bigger kids.

Even if he won’t go in, could still be an option with him watching then helping out at the changing stages. Followed by a nice lunch.

An aquarium was enjoyed by my grandson on his 2nd birthday.

Is there is a local “little world” type play place local? with areas with imaginative play stuff- so ours has a vets, hairdressers, disco, doctors, building site, cafe etc and kids play dress up etc there.

i personally wouldn’t do an inflatables or trampoline park til 3 but that’s probably as I’ve spent too much time at A and E over the years and have maniac daredevil children whose capabilities are far outweighed by their self belief!

Really helpful, thanks all.

An aquarium is another one I hadn't thought of
