Long shot I know, bur I am trying to track down a woman called Rachel Carver!

I know, I know, really long shot, but with all the women on here, it has got to be worth a try??

She should be about 26. I was writing to her when I was 14/15/16, but we lost contact when she changed to a different EDU.

I have no idea if she is alive or dead, and I have wanted to get in touch with her for 10 years now

I have exhausted all other avenues I can think of (some poor woman on facebook accepted me as a friend.. I thought she may have been her/a sister ) - she was very understanding though!

could you call ancestry - 0121 246 4260...

they will do an electoral roll search if you ask them, o rthey could look up her birthdate and then get her parents and then doa search on them....

or they may have other ideas....

they are not expensive (like 50 quid or less for searches and so on, but it would be a weight off your mind and a friend regained if they can find her for you!)

Going to do another search on friends reunited (wasn't there last I checked).

I don't think I have enough details for any other way of tracing tbh. I don't know her dob, parents names or anything (couldn't even remember if she had a sister when I started questioning the woman on facebook).

She was very ill when we lost contact, and every time I see eating disorder/superskinny documentaries advertised etc I wonder if she is ok.

that's enough...and if there are forty of them (which wouldn't be likely given that it's quite an odd name) then youcould narrow down - i.e.e NOT born in Scotland, Not 36 now but 26...

etc etc

I think you can do a free search on the BMD database - but i don't know if it covers when she was born...

I would call those people and ask them what they could do for you. Having thought about this, this is a brilliant idea for mumsnet
