how do you know it is worth that much? Bear in mind that insurance valuations tend to be twice what you would get as a sale value.

I would try your local jewellers that deal in 2nd hand rings for a few quotes for starters

I have an evaluation, so i know thats the price.
And i know that you never get what its worth, just want to get as good as i can.

Yes may try the jewellers.

I wondered about e=bay, but bit unsure.

Thanks for help.

jewellery is a strange thing cos the mark up is so huge in jewellery retail can be up to 500%

Yes I would guess that if you have a jeweller's evaluation you will be looking at offers of around 25% of that - halve it for 'real' second hand sale value - then halve that for the commission for whoever it selling it.

You could try selling it at auction and put a reserve price on it so it doesn't go for peanuts.
